1. Who we are
Fridge Food is operated by RACKET LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17324322. For UK data protection law, RACKET LTD is the controller of the personal data processed by Fridge Food.

2. What Fridge Food does
Fridge Food helps users track kitchen food inventory, use-by dates, leftovers, recipes, shopping lists and optional nutrition goals. It is designed for household food management and general wellbeing. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
3. Personal data we collect
Depending on which features you use, we may process:
- Account data, such as name, email address and authentication information.
- Profile data, such as goals, household size, cooking confidence and diet preference.
- Optional allergy, intolerance and nutrition profile data if you choose to provide it.
- Kitchen inventory data, such as food names, quantities, categories, use-by dates, storage locations and barcodes.
- Leftover, recipe, nutrition log, shopping list and progress data.
- Technical, security and support data needed to run, protect and improve the app.
4. Why we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Save your fridge inventory, use-by dates, leftovers and shopping lists.
- Recommend recipes based on the food you have.
- Provide optional nutrition and macro tracking.
- Save your preferences and support requests.
- Protect the security and reliability of the service.
- Meet legal, regulatory and App Store obligations.
5. Sensitive information
Some information you choose to enter may reveal health-related information, including allergies, intolerances, height, weight, activity level, dietary goals and nutrition targets. We only collect this information when you choose to provide it. We do not use allergy, health, nutrition or fitness-related data for advertising, marketing profiling or third-party data mining.
6. Service providers and sharing
We only share personal data where necessary to provide Fridge Food, comply with the law or protect the service. Current or expected service providers include Supabase for authentication and database services, Expo/EAS for app build infrastructure, and product data sources such as Open Food Facts for barcode or product lookup. Retailer links may be used for optional shopping handoff features.
We do not sell personal data.
7. Retention
We keep account and app data for as long as needed to provide the service, unless you delete it or request deletion. Account deletion is available in the Fridge Food app and can also be requested by contacting us.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your data, request data portability, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data, including authentication, Row Level Security for user-owned data, HTTPS, least-privilege access controls and environment-variable handling for service credentials.
10. Children
Fridge Food is not intended for children under 16. Users under 16 should not create an account.
11. Food safety and nutrition
Fridge Food may estimate use-by dates, nutrition values and recipe suggestions. Users must check product labels, storage instructions, allergen warnings and official food safety guidance. Nutrition information is for general wellbeing and should not replace professional advice.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Fridge Food changes. If we make material changes, we will notify users in the app or by email where appropriate.
